	<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://features.cgsociety.org/gallerycrits/183446/183446_1211919425_small.jpg"><br><br>This shot depicts an alien mining station.  It's a fininshed  matte painting with a cg camera move that mimicks an airplane swooping in towards the station.<br />
<br />
Techniques used was projection mapping in 3dsMax.  All the rocks were created in photoshop, then projected onto geometry in 3dsMax.  The mining station was modeled in max first, rendered with ambient oclusion pass, and then brought into photoshop.]]>
